    Julia Dillard
    Julia E. Dillard-Howe

Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away on Sunday November 30th, 2003. She was born May 25th, 1958 to Dr.
David H. and Virginia Dillard of Seattle. She was preceded in death by her father and survived by her mother, her husband Bruce
Howe, her children Kyla and Lukas and stepchildren Mike (Roxanne), Kelly and Matt Howe, her siblings Kristi Heller (Jamie), David
Dillard (Paula), Jim Dillard (Elsa), Bob Dillard (Darcy), Jennifer Hartley (Keith) and Geoffrey Dillard (Laurie), one grand-daughter
Autumn and her in-laws; Phil and Noreen Howe. She was a graduate of Nathan Hale High School and The University of Washington
where her emphasis of study was in dance and theatre arts. Julia, though her life was abbreviated, created a more colorful
experience for herself and those around her in a week or a month than many might attempt over years. A beautiful and graceful
being, Julia's astonishing and versatile creativity, humor, passion and compassion was a pervasive force. She gave constantly of
her creative self in every aspect of her life. She made even daily routine extraordinary. Her home was a lively and warm gathering
place for her children's friends, many relatives and family friends. People were drawn to her youthful energy and unique approach
to life. Dancer, athlete, sculptor, painter, were just a few ways through which she expressed herself. She was fascinated by the
sciences and drew broadly from the world to create her art. Working with her husband as a finish carpenter she was recognized in
the field as a skilled artisan.  Julia ignited any situation with intellect, creativity and passion. When she walked into a room she was
a brilliant presence of incomparable social intensity and uncontainable love. Memorial Services and reception celebrating Julia's
life was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6th at the Acacia Funeral Home Chapel, 14951 Bothell Way N.E., Seattle. Any
remembrances may be made to a trust fund established for her children at any branch of Washington Mutual Bank in Julia's name.

    Feb. 5, 1958 ~ Jan. 27, 2005

    Renae entered into the choir of her Lord Jesus Christ, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family as she passed away suddenly;
and was laid to rest February 10, 2005.

Renae was born and raised in Seattle where she went to Wedgewood Elementary, Nathan Eckstein Middle, Jane Adams Jr. High,
Nathan Hale High (tenth & eleventh grades) and graduated at Watson Groen Christian School in 1976.  She then went on to North
Seattle Community College and received an AAS degree in nursing.

Renae was musical she played both the piano and flute and had a beautiful voice which lead to her singing in many weddings.  She
married Bruce Purser and had Ryan (now 24) and Roseanne (now 21).  They moved to Tumwater, Wash, before the kids started
school.  When Ryan was 12 years old Bruce left and Renae raised the kids by herself.

At the time of her passing she was engaged to Walter Lostrie of Yelm Wash. She’s grandma of Riley Purser (Ryan’s) and Silas
Parker (Roseanne’s). Her parents and sister still live in Seattle.  She has many family and friends all over the U.S.

Written by her childhood friend of 44 years, Julie Kamla
